The name Éole Yachting is inspired by Aiolos, or Aeolus, the Greek god who commanded the winds and ruled over the mythical floating island of Aiolia. According to legend, Odysseus once visited Aiolos' isle and was entrusted with a bag containing all of the Storm-Winds to ensure a safe voyage home. However, during the journey, Odysseus' companions, driven by greed, opened the bag in search of gold, releasing the winds and causing their ship to be blown back to Aiolos' shores.
